Afghanistan Prosecutors Association or APA is an association of prosecutors, this non-profit and non-governmental structure is not affiliated with any political party or faction. Afghan Prosecutors Association was established on December 6, 2009, by experienced Afghan prosecutors.

Objectives of the Association of Prosecutors

Basic duties of the prosecutor
Pursuant to Article 134 of the Afghan Constitution, the Attorney General’s Office is part of the executive branch and is independent in its implementation and subject to the provisions of the law.
The investigation of crimes and the filing of lawsuits against the accused in court form the basic duties of the prosecutor.
Observance of the applicable laws of the country, equal application of the law, defense of the rights and freedoms of citizens, defense of Islamic values, rights and freedoms, human dignity and human rights of individuals, are among the priorities of a prosecutor.
In order to defend the rights of Afghan citizens, prosecutors investigate all cases with determination, independence and complete impartiality, with due regard for justice and fairness, and make decisions based on documents, evidence and documents.
