The Afghanistan Prosecutors Association was created in 2009 to support the rule of law in Afghanistan.
We are partner with multi-national efforts to bring Justice Reform in Afghanistan (https://2001-2009.state.gov/p/inl/rls/other/94762.htm).  Our focus has always been to foster the rule of law and the professional development of prosecutors in Afghanistan.  We are a member organization of the International Association of Prosecutors (NL) and a founding organization of Prosecutors For Prosecutors, a campaign of the Association of Prosecuting Attorneys (US). Since 2021, and with the elimination of the constitutional court system in Afghanistan, our members are now unemployed and in hiding from those who wish to do them harm. Some of our members have been murdered. Other members have had to seek refuge in other countries.  We are currently working to with all organizations supporting our members in need of relocation to safe countries.
