Afghanistan Prosecutors Association
Afghanistan Prosecutors Association or APA is an association of prosecutors, this non-profit and non-governmental structure is not affiliated with any political party or faction. Afghan Prosecutors Association was established on December 6, 2009, by experienced Afghan prosecutors.
Afghanistan Prosecutors Association We must reject the idea that every time a law’s broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the Afghans precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.

Defending peace, ensuring justice, equal implementation of law and the rule of law in the country.

Defending human rights and freedoms, democracy and social justice.

Facilitating the provision of legality in society and raising the level of legal awareness of citizens.

Establishing friendly relations and developing bilateral and multilateral cooperation with similar organizations, international organizations and prosecutors of other countries.

Defending world peace and security and resolving international conflicts through dialogue and peaceful means, defending universally accepted principles, human rights and its observance.

Providing plans, legal solutions, analysis and interpretation of laws and regulations, suggestions and legal and criminal advice to public, private organizations and individuals in the community.

Active participation in the implementation of the effective laws of the country and other legal documents, international law, and legal promotion, especially in relation to eradicating administrative corruption, terrorism, illegal production and supply, drug smuggling, and trafficking.
Basic duties of the prosecutor
Pursuant to Article 134 of the Afghan Constitution, the Attorney General’s Office is part of the executive branch and is independent in its implementation and subject to the provisions of the law.
The investigation of crimes and the filing of lawsuits against the accused in court form the basic duties of the prosecutor.
Observance of the applicable laws of the country, equal application of the law, defense of the rights and freedoms of citizens, defense of Islamic values, rights and freedoms, human dignity and human rights of individuals, are among the priorities of a prosecutor.
In order to defend the rights of Afghan citizens, prosecutors investigate all cases with determination, independence and complete impartiality, with due regard for justice and fairness, and make decisions based on documents, evidence and documents.
